VR racing at L.A. Comic Con 2024
October 4–6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We set up a SuperSim 2DOF with a VR headset in the exhibit hall and let Comic Con do the rest.
Between the cosplay, the panels and the comic stands, a racing simulator glowing blue turned out to be hard to walk past. People put on the headset, grabbed the wheel, and the seat tilted under them through every corner. One fan showed up in a full Red Bull racing suit and helmet, which made for the most on-theme lap of the weekend.
The simulator
SuperSim 2DOF is our compact two-axis motion simulator. It fits in a standard 10×10 ft booth, runs from a regular 120 V outlet and works with a monitor or a VR headset. A ride takes three to four minutes, so the line keeps moving.
We rent it, with an operator, for conventions, festivals, brand activations and parties around Los Angeles.
